COVID-19 Update (06-11-2020)
Here we are, three months into the pandemic. Things are slowly getting back to normal and we are looking at ways to do “normal” at BVH. We want to update you on where we are at this point.
COVID-19 is still a concern, so we are still retrieving your pets from the parking lot. We really want to see you back in the clinic, but at this point we have not made definitive plans to do this. It is very difficult to ensure everyone’s safety with multiple people in a small exam room. We are discussing ways to try to make this happen, but they are still just discussions and no definitive date has been set to make it happen. We will let you know when we begin the process and the protocols we put in place to do it. We appreciate you patience.
With the current appointment process, we are utilizing the phones a lot. We ask for your understanding; you may get a busy signal or have excessive hold times when you call. Phones are currently being used for checking in and out appointments, discussions with your doctor during your appointment, and regular phone traffic. We are working on new ways to check clients in to help free up phone lines, but until then we apologize for the difficulty contacting us. If you have a non-urgent message, you can email us at email@example.com rather than calling to help reduce hold times and busy signals. Please allow up to 48 hours for email replies to account for doctors’ schedules. If you get a busy signal and have an emergency, please come in or go to your nearest veterinary ER; don’t wait for us to answer.
We are basically doing every medical procedure for our patients. While we are happy to be able to do appointments and surgeries, we still have not opened boarding and bathing. We do not have an official date for this either, but hope to be able to offer them in the near future.
As always, we want to send a special thank you to all of our clients for your understanding. This is a difficult time for you and us, but we are grateful to be entrusted with your pets.
Another great shout-out to our entire team who have worked tirelessly and made huge sacrifices because of their love for your pets. Make sure to thank them for all they do.
Thanks again, and thank you for allowing us to care for your pets!
